Decentralized supply for an apartment building

In the immediate vicinity of Bielefeld Hospital, the latest generation of efficient heating technology from ratiotherm was installed as part of the modernization of an apartment building.

Housebuilding

Easily access consumption data

The six residential units in the apartment building were equipped with decentralized apartment stations (EWS). What makes them special is that the stations are electronically controlled, i.e., in conjunction with the circulation pump in the basement, the heat demand can be optimized so that only the amount of heat that is actually needed is circulated. If necessary, the circulation can also be switched off completely during the night.

Each apartment station is equipped with heat meters and water meters, and the consumption values can be transmitted to the ratiotherm central controller in the basement, as these are networked with each other. This allows the actual consumption data to be conveniently accessed remotely via the Internet by the landlord of the building. A transfer station with a capacity of 60 kW was installed in the boiler room itself, and a 1,300 L stratified storage tank with a 5.0 stratification insert was used as a buffer to ensure that the six parties were supplied with hot water and heating in an optimal and efficient manner at all times.
