The advantages of the FWS fresh water system at a glance
Areas of application for the FWS fresh water system
Heating systems often have to perform two completely different tasks in the home. On the one hand, they provide heat to keep rooms at a comfortable temperature. On the other hand, they heat fresh water for bathing, showering, cooking, and drinking. This is precisely where water – the most important foodstuff – can become a risk. If, as in old boilers, for example, drinking water is used as a heat store, an invisible breeding ground for bacteria and germs develops in the floor area. This is the ideal place for bacteria such as life-threatening Legionella or for a wide variety of fungi, which can also be harmful to health. Drinking water that comes into contact with people should therefore always be heated shortly before use to ensure that it remains hygienic. The fresh water station consists of a buffer filled with 200 or 400 liters of heating water and the efficient compact drinking water station (TWK), which has been tried and tested for many years. In this compact system, a plate heat exchanger works on the counterflow principle, with warm heating water flowing through one side and fresh cold water through the other. The heating water transfers the required heat to the fresh water, heating it precisely and flexibly in exactly the amount required by the user for maximum efficiency, minimum losses, and absolute hygiene in drinking water heating.
