Functional description: WP Max-Cube pF26 LoQ
The WP Max-Cube pF26 heat pump offers maximum efficiency in an extremely compact design. The unit’s refrigeration circuit is housed in a cube-shaped casing known as the ‘Cube’ and, depending on the intended application, can be fitted into a casing for indoor installation, outdoor installation or for cascading. The unit is designed as a water/water or brine/water system and uses the natural and environmentally friendly refrigerant R290 (propane). The WP Max-LoQ pF26 heat pump allows for source temperatures ranging from –25 to +15 degrees Celsius. Thanks to several patented processes, the heat pump is able to consistently achieve the optimum operating point and maximum operational reliability despite fluctuating source temperatures. This makes the unit suitable for a wide variety of sources such as ground-source heat exchangers, waste heat, groundwater or PVT (photovoltaic-thermal). Thanks to its variable speed control, the unit covers a broad output range and thus adapts to a wide variety of loads and conditions. Furthermore, it is ideally suited for utilising fluctuating energy supplies and enables intelligent load control across all energy ranges. Optionally, the unit can be ordered as an AllQ version with a significantly extended source range.
Design of the WP Max-Cube-LoQ pF26
The ratiotherm WP Max-LoQ pF26 heat pump features a complete refrigeration cycle and can be powered by a wide variety of energy sources. The monoblock heat pump is designed for both indoor and outdoor installation. The refrigeration circuit is a hermetically sealed system comprising a scroll compressor, a condenser (plate heat exchanger), an evaporator (plate heat exchanger) and various electronic expansion valves which control the flow of the refrigerant. The natural refrigerant R290 is used. The WP Max-LoQ pF26 heat pump is dispatched ready for operation with fully charged refrigeration circuits. All parameters and operating statuses are shown on the heat pump’s display. The heat pump can be operated in conjunction with most electric, gas or oil boilers. A source pump and a sink pump are built into the unit. Furthermore, the heat pump can be ordered as an AllQ version, which extends the source temperature range. Additionally, active cooling and an electric heating element can be integrated into the unit as optional extras. The heat pump can be controlled by the ratiotherm rZR 16×2 central controller or by a third-party controller.
